Dr. Edward Nketiah-Amponsah is a senior lecturer at the Department of Economics, University of Ghana. He holds a Ph.D in Development Economics from ZEF, University of Bonn, Germany, M. Phil and B.A in Economics from the University of Ghana, Legon.
His current research interest include Economics of Child and Maternal Health Care Utilization, Health Insurance Issues, Applied Micro econometrics, Taxation and Public Expenditure Analyses, Economic Growth and Poverty Reduction issues, Economics of Governance & Institutional Issues and Food Security, Social Protection and Safety Nets.
He also has a number of publications, conference proceedings and contributions to book chapters. He has also attended conferences, workshop and seminars, and presented papers in most of such programmes. He has also won some awards and fellowships.
Dr. E. Nketiah-Amponsah has made some input in the media as a resource person and Newspaper Columnist. He has been on several boards and committees in the University of Ghana.
Dr. Edward Nketiah-Amponsah is a tutor of Alexander Kwapong Hall. His responsibility as a senior lecturer at the Economics Department includes teaching, supervision and research.
